Salary:
Grade 8, Point 12 - 20: £22,094 - £25,183 per annum (subject to experience)

Contract:

Fixed Term until July 2026, 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time plus inset days)

Role Overview

We are looking for a Pastoral Support Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee and manage the behaviour of students within the school. You will be responsible for implementing strategies and interventions to support students in developing positive behaviours and attitudes towards learning. Additionally, you will work closely with teachers and parents to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students.

The ability to drive (and access to a car) is essential for this role as there may be requirements in which you may need to travel.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage student behaviour.
  • Implement strategies and interventions to promote positive behaviours and learning attitudes.
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to foster a supportive, inclusive environment.
  • Travel to meet with stakeholders as required, requiring a valid driver’s licence.
  • Engage in safeguarding duties such as administering first aid and supporting upset children.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Experience in pastoral or educational support role (preferred).
  • Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Willingness to meet safeguarding checks, including enhanced DBS and Children’s Barred List checks.
  • Commitment to building a diverse workforce and compliance with Equality Act 2010 policies.
