Up to £30,000 per annum Our client, a well-established freight forwarding company based in Feltham , is looking to recruit an Air Import Clerk to join their busy and expanding operations team. Shifts available: 4 on / 4 off: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM As an Air Import Clerk, you'll play a key role in ensuring import shipments are handled efficiently from arrival through to final delivery.
Working in a fast-paced environment, you'll liaise with customers, airlines, overseas agents and transport providers to deliver a seamless service.
The Role Coordinate and manage air import shipments from start to finish. Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts. Arrange customs clearance and ensure all import documentation is accurate and compliant. Communicate with airlines, overseas agents, customers and hauliers to ensure smooth movement of freight. Track shipments, resolve any issues and provide regular updates to customers. Ensure all files are completed accurately and within agreed service levels.
Update and maintain shipment records using Cargo Wise. Work closely with the wider operations team to deliver an excellent customer experience. What We're Looking For Previous experience working within Air Freight Imports . Good working knowledge of Cargo Wise . Experience managing and supporting key accounts . Understanding of customs procedures and import documentation. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
