Canadian Financial Accountant ASPE IFRS

Apply Canadian accounting expertise to financial statements, reconciliations, and close activities across one or more Canadian entities. Use strong Excel skills in this accounting role.

Financial Accountants own accounting work matched to experience, from junior reconciliations to senior close leadership. The work includes double-entry bookkeeping, ASPE or IFRS reporting, tax filings, and audit support. You will explain financial results clearly to finance and non-finance colleagues.

• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and period closes
• Prepare ASPE or IFRS financial statements and working papers
• Manage GST/HST, PST, and QST filings and remittances
• Process payroll, deductions, premiums, and T4 or T4A reporting
• Support audits, controls, budgets, forecasts, and variance reporting

• Understanding of Canadian accounting and double-entry bookkeeping
• Hands-on accounting experience through work, co-op, internship, or volunteering
• Working knowledge of GST/HST and payroll remittance basics
• Strong Excel skills and clear communication
• Accounting, Finance, Commerce diploma, degree, or equivalent experience
