Analyst, Sales and Reporting – Role Overview
The Analytical role at BRP focuses on identifying, analyzing, and positioning new business opportunities, redefining business processes, and creating operational capabilities. The analyst facilitates project delivery by defining, contextualizing, and communicating requirements in a clear, concise format to enable project teams.
Key Responsibilities- Identify, analyze, and prioritize strategic business opportunities.
- Develop preparatory documents and present findings of the project selection and prioritization process.
- Organize workshops, conduct interviews, and perform research to refine business requirements.
- Define, document, and validate business requirements.
- Ensure deliverables meet business requirements and provide detailed support to project teams.
- Review deliverables to confirm alignment with business needs.
- Identify and document test scenarios to validate solution design.
- Contribute to the definition and advancement of business analysis practices within the division.
- Iteratively refine business analysis methods, processes, and tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce, management, engineering, computer science, or related field; master’s degree is an asset.
- Minimum of five years as a business analyst.
- Experience in government or civic sector is a significant differentiator.
- Proven ability to identify and articulate business requirements, converting them into use cases, case studies, or test scenarios.
- Experience assessing costs, risks, and ROI of business projects.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Project, etc.).
- Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
- Influence and persuasion skills for driving change.
- Strong judgment and discretion in sensitive situations.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
