Temporary Psychoeducator

Contribute your expertise as a Psychoeducator at Adult Education New Horizons in Sherbrooke, Quebec. This temporary position focuses on enhancing student adaptation through targeted interventions.

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting evaluations and developing intervention plans for students with social maladjustments. Working under the Director of Complementary Educational Services, you will gather information from various resources to tailor educational strategies effectively. Collaboration with teachers and parents is essential to foster the students’ development and integration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement psycho educational services within school requirements

• Screen students for adaptation difficulties and design interventions

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on educational plans

• Gather and analyze data to support student needs

• Develop supportive materials for students facing challenges

Requirements:

• Membership with Ordre des psychoéducateurs et psychoéducatrices du Québec

• Experience with educational assessments

• Strong teamwork and communication abilities

• Background in social or educational psychology

• Experience with crisis intervention preferred
