Essential Qualifications- Valid teacher certification for the Province of Nova Scotia;
- Methodology courses, experience, or practicum teaching in the subject area at the appropriate level for the competition;
- Excellent classroom and student management skills;
- Knowledge and experience in the application of technologies used to enhance instruction and learning;
- Knowledge and/or experience in implementing inclusive teaching and assessment strategies;
- Knowledge of inter-disciplinary planning is a requirement
Teachers who are hired or recalled into new positions will be required to participate in a New Teacher training if they have not already done so.
Applicants must be able to provide a current (within the last 6 months) and clear Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Search and Child Abuse Registry prior to employment with the Strait Regional Centre for Education.
