Residence Life Counsellor at Bishop’s University

Elevate student support as a Counsellor in Residence at Bishop’s University. This part-time role (25 hours weekly) focuses on counselling and educational initiatives.
Reporting to the Manager of Student Services, you will provide short-term counselling and risk assessments while actively engaging with the Residence Life Team. Your contributions to mental health education and crisis intervention will significantly enhance the campus living experience for students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individual and group counselling services

• Conduct weekly drop-in sessions focused on student needs

• Educate students about available mental health resources

• Provide psychosocial support as part of the team

• Develop workshops addressing various mental health topics
Requirements:

• Degree in Social Work

• Registered or eligible for OTSTCFQ

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in education

• Knowledge of relevant laws and ethical guidelines

• Bilingual in English and French for effective communication
