Position: Teacher Assistant with Personal Care Focus
Become a vital part of St Mary's Education Centre as a Teacher Assistant focusing on personal care and behavior management. Empower students while ensuring their safety and emotional development.

In this role, you will assist students with various personal care tasks, including feeding and hygiene, while implementing behavior management strategies. Support their growth by facilitating positive interactions and following Individualized Program Plans. You will collaborate with teachers, contributing to material preparation and observing student progress throughout the instructional process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Aid in feeding, toileting, and personal hygiene needs

• Ensure a safe environment through supervision

• Encourage emotional growth and self-esteem in students

• Support teachers with classroom materials and strategies

• Accompany students to community placements for support

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Training from recognized programs or relevant experience

• Must have or obtain CPR and First Aid certification

• Strong interpersonal communication skills

• Experience managing exceptional needs in children
