Course Details:
In Russian culture, the two major cities, Moscow and Saint-Petersburg, represent the two sides of Russian culture: its past in Orthodoxy and Russianness and its future in European culture and internationalism. The culture of Saint-Petersburg both reflects the city and redefines the meaning of the city for the future. This class will examine Russian culture within the context of the city itself, providing students with a holistic look at an embedded culture.

• a) preparation of the Course and Course plan

• c) evaluation of students
• d) submitting to the University a report on student attendance and student grades
• e) supervision of Teaching Assistants or any other teaching support staff
• f) upon request, review of their students’ grades
• g) meeting with students, being available to answer questions and give advice concerning Course content and requirements
• Employees shall perform their duties in compliance with the Pedagogical Regulation and as specified in the administrative directives of the Hiring Unit. An Employee shall use appropriate pedagogical methods and material.

• Education:
  
  Ph.D. in Russian. Native or near native fluency in English and a knowledge of Russian is required.
• Experience:
  
  A minimum of two semesters as instructor of a course at a similar level.

• An updated CV
• A letter of introduction stating their teaching philosophy and how they would approach the teaching of this particular course
• A syllabus for this class which must follow the template provided by the McGill Course Outline Guidelines (McGill Course Outline Guidelines )
