Position Summary

A Course assignment includes all or part of the following teaching activities:

• preparation of the Course and Course plan
• delivery of the Course
• evaluation of students
• submitting to the University a report on student attendance and student grades
• supervision of Teaching Assistants or any other teaching support staff
• upon request, review of their students’ grades
• meeting with students, being available to answer questions and give advice concerning Course content and requirements

Employees shall perform their duties in compliance with the Pedagogical Regulation and as specified in the administrative directives of the Hiring Unit. An Employee shall use appropriate pedagogical methods and material.

Master’s in Russian literature or successful completion of at least PhD evaluation 1 or equivalent. Demonstrated expertise in the history of Russian theatre and in nineteenth- and twentieth-century Russian drama and opera.

• a syllabus for this class which must follow the template provided by the McGill Course Outline Guidelines ()
