Department of Physics and Astronomy

In accordance with article 6.2.2 of the Contract Faculty Collective Agreement, applications are invited for the following courses, to be offered during the following session:

Winter 2027

PHL 386(01) –Intermediate Physics Lab II (1 credit)

Tuesdays from 17:30-20:29

Experiments in quantum physics, non-linear dynamics (chaos), thermodynamics, and low-temperature physics will be carried out. Computer interfaces and nuclear counters will be used to collect and analyze data.

PHL 386(02) –Intermediate Physics Lab II (1 credit)

Thursdays from 17:30-20:29

PHY 466/PHY 566 Theoretical Topics (3 credits)

Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:30 to 9:59

Topics to be studied will be selected from the areas of special and general relativity, classical and quantum mechanics, particle physics, astrophysics, and cosmology. These courses will be allotted in accordance with the Contract Faculty Collective Agreement, including the applicable rules for seniority.

Remuneration is $9,560.92 for each 3-credit lecture course or $4,780.46 for each laboratory course, with travel and marking expenses provided where appropriate.
