Study Abroad Peer Advisor

Guide fellow students towards global opportunities as a Peer Advisor for study abroad at SUNY Cortland. This role encompasses presentations, resource creation, and personalized student support.

SUNY Cortland's International Programs Department is inviting applications for the Peer Advisor role, designed for current students who have previous study abroad experience. You will be responsible for giving informative presentations and assisting with office hours.

Your role will also include event support and developing program guides, requiring strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Present about study abroad experiences in classrooms

• Maintain weekly office hours for student support

• Design promotional materials for events

• Assist with International Welcome Celebration activities

• Staff informational tables for student outreach

Requirements:

• Current student at SUNY Cortland

• Must be in good standing academically and judicially

• Must have study abroad experience

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Awareness of social media trends preferred
