Join Nord Quantique as an Associate Quantum Hardware Physicist in Sherbrooke. Lead experimental campaigns in superconducting circuits to advance quantum computing technology.
This permanent full-time role seeks an experienced candidate with a PhD in experimental physics and a strong background in quantum computing. With at least five years of industry experience, you will define, manage, and deliver key experimental projects, while leveraging your skills in quantum error correction and circuit QED. Mentoring team members will also be part of your contributions to this groundbreaking field.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead experimental campaigns for roadmap thrusts
• Perform measurements on quantum gate performance
• Implement quantum error correction codes with the theory team
• Generate calibration routines to boost technology performance
• Mentor and onboard new team members
Requirements:
• PhD in experimental physics or related field
• Minimum 5 years of industry experience
• Practical experience in quantum error correction
• Python knowledge and familiarity with git
• Advanced English communication skills
