Quantum Hardware Physicist at Nord Quantique

Become an essential part of Nord Quantique's innovative Quantum Hardware team in Sherbrooke. This Associate Quantum Hardware Physicist role focuses on experimental campaigns to advance quantum technology.

In this permanent role, you will bring expertise in superconducting circuits and play a crucial part in enhancing quantum processor performance. Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including Quantum Theory, EM Design, and Software, to push hardware capabilities to the next level. Your responsibilities will include leading experimental campaigns and mentoring team members to promote knowledge sharing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage experimental campaigns to meet project objectives

• Perform benchmarking measurements for quantum error correction

• Implement innovative error correction codes with the Quantum Theory team

• Create calibration routines to enhance performance

• Provide feedback based on scientific data to other teams

Requirements:

• PhD in experimental physics or quantum computing

• Minimum 5 years of industry experience

• Proven track record in leading experimental work

• Strong knowledge of Circuit QED and error correction

• Advanced English proficiency for communication
