Construction Site Inspector / Civil Engineering Technician – Magog Expertise Location

Magog

Are you ready for a new challenge within a multidisciplinary firm that brings together a dynamic sense of community, large-scale projects, and sought-after working conditions? Based in our Magog office, located right downtown along the shores of Lake Memphremagog, CJA is the firm where you want to grow and enjoy a stimulating work experience!

Are you looking for a hybrid position where you can enjoy the outdoors while conducting site inspections and, on the other hand, work comfortably in our amazing offices, coffee in hand, drafting plans? We have the role for you on our civil engineering team.

As a Construction Site Inspector, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Oversee construction work and ensure compliance with plans and specifications;
  • Measure completed work against plans and specifications, compile quantities, and prepare the required documents for payment applications;
  • Monitor material quantities and prepare daily reports;
  • Prepare notes and sketches for the production of as-built drawings.

Then, as a Design Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing civil engineering works using Civil 3D software;
  • Preparing drawings (typical sections, details, verification, etc.);
  • Drafting specifications in collaboration with the engineer.

To enjoy taking on this challenge, we are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in civil engineering;
  • Has at least 5 years of construction site inspection experience;
  • Holds a valid Québec driver's license and is able to travel throughout the province;
  • Holds an ASP Construction card;
  • Is proficient in the Autodesk suite (Civil 3D and AutoCAD);
  • Is self-reliant, detail-oriented, and thrives on teamwork.

Being part of our team means:

  • 5 weeks of vacation from day one;
  • A highly flexible hybrid work schedule (37.5 hours);
  • A profit-sharing plan;
  • Access to group insurance, a health and wellness allowance, and an RRSP with employer contributions;
  • Access to facilities and activities promoting well-being and physical health;
  • And much more!

Are you more of a draft beer, latte, or fresh fruit person? We offer not only a dynamic work environment that values work-life balance, but also a close-knit team in which every employee is actively involved in CJA's success.

Would you also like to enjoy the best of both worlds?
