Position: On-Site Data Center Technician Role
Become part of a leading data center team in Sherbrooke, Canada as an on-site Data Center Technician. This contract position offers flexibility and project-based engagements.

In this freelance role, you will support critical infrastructure through hardware installation, server management, and structured cabling. Your hands-on experience ensures efficient data center operations, with a focus on connectivity and documentation. Solid communication skills in English are critical for coordinating with NOC and client teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, decommission, and migrate hardware

• Handle structured cabling for copper and fiber optics

• Perform server racking and labeling tasks

• Troubleshoot hardware and connectivity challenges

• Maintain accurate documentation with photos

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years in IT infrastructure or data centers

• Proficient in cabling and server hardware

• Capability to lift over 50 lbs safely

• Have own transport for site visits

• Preferred certifications in data centers or networking
