Data Protection Advisor

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and administer Microsoft Purview information protection architectures for our clients (SMBs, not-for-profits, professional firms)
• Prepare client environments for the optimal and secure use of Microsoft Copilot
• Implement classification policies, sensitivity labels and data loss prevention (DLP) controls tailored to the client’s regulatory requirements
• Configure and manage data governance solutions: lifecycle management, records management, retention policies
• Deploy and monitor Insider Risk Management, Communication Compliance and Information Barriers modules
• Conduct investigations and respond to information security alerts via the Microsoft Purview portal
• Support clients in regulatory compliance using Compliance Manager (PIPEDA, Quebec’s Law 25, ISO 27001, etc.)
• Document deployed architectures and train client IT teams
• Act as the Purview technical reference within the delivery team

• SC-401 certification (Microsoft Certified: Information Security Administrator Associate)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience administering Microsoft 365 / Azure
• Hands‑on experience with at least three Purview components in real client contexts
• Functional bilingualism (French required; English an asset in client‑facing situations)
• Ability to travel occasionally to client sites in Quebec
• Comfortable working in a structured EOS environment (L10, rocks, KPIs)
• Experience in cybersecurity and strategic advisory roles
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Azure / M365 certifications (an asset)
• Full bilingualism (French/English) (an asset)
