Materiel & Logistic Planner; Evening Shift

Overview

We re looking for a Material & Logistics Planner to plan, release and track the delivery of materials and parts needed for production; all to meet production schedules and keep inventories to a minimum using just-in-time principles. You ll be at the heart of the action, working closely with suppliers and internal customers such as material handling, transportation, procurement, engineering and quality assurance teams.

• Plan and follow up on parts delivery
• Interact with suppliers and carriers to find creative solutions and avoid production shutdowns
• Analyze the best strategies to meet just-in-time objectives
• Manage commercial relationships with suppliers and negotiate with the best interests of BRP in mind
• Identify and coordinate areas of improvement in line with team objectives
• Establish recovery plans with suppliers and meet with them if necessary

• Bachelor s degree in administration, operations management or any other related field, or DEC (college diploma) in administration or any other related field and 18 to 36 months of experience
• Fluency in spoken and written French and English to communicate with internal stakeholders located outside Quebec or unilingual Anglophone on a daily basis
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and SAP
• Willingness to travel when necessary
• Autonomy and leadership
• Ability to work under pressure in a changing environment
• Team player with solid priority management skills
• Excellent communication skills, strong analytical skills and ability to negotiate.
