Groundsperson

Position: Groundsperson at McGill University
Ensure well-maintained campus grounds with McGill University as a full-time Groundsperson. Operate machinery while managing roadways and sidewalks, contributing to the campus environment.

In this full-time role, report to the Supervisor of Property Maintenance and maintain exterior grounds, including roadways and sidewalks. Your experience should include functional communication in English or French, with a focus on safety and equipment operation. This position plays a crucial role in the appearance and safety of campus spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain campus grounds, including walkways and roadways

• Operate various machinery safely and efficiently

• Support interior maintenance tasks as needed

• Collaborate with the maintenance team for improved grounds

• Ensure safety compliance while performing duties

Requirements:

• Three years of related experience

• Valid class 5 driver’s license and safety card

• Functional proficiency in English and French, spoken and written

• Commitment to maintaining grounds safety and appearance

• Ability to work Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
