Overview

Under the supervision of the general manager, the head coordinator ensures the smooth operation of an inter-regional team (6 to 10 coordinators and field staff), manages supplies, and develops activities in the Sherbrooke, Montreal and other regions of Quebec.

This role combines responsibilities in management, strategic coordination and field animation to ensure quality and growth of Tonus services.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and supervise after-school, summer and event programming (camps, Sumo Soccer services, special projects).
  • Contribute to field animation as needed (clients ages 3 to 17, including those with special needs).
  • Supervise and evaluate the coordination team, leisure technicians and animators.
  • Develop staff skills (training, mentoring, supervision).
  • Manage program budgets, monitor revenues and expenses, authorize certain expenditures per policy.
  • Maintain communication with schools, municipalities and partners.
  • Participate in regional and provincial development strategies.
  • Represent the organization with external partners.
  • In the summer, coordinate youth services and conduct visits to camps.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in leisure, recreation, physical education, kinesiology or equivalent.
  • Administration training (asset).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in coordination.
  • Experience with animation for ages 3–18 (mandatory).
  • Experience with clients with special needs (asset).
  • Valid driver’s license and own car (frequent travel).
  • Occasional availability evenings and weekends.
  • Knowledge of schools and camps is an asset.
  • Leadership, planning, communication, teamwork and autonomy.
  • Comfort with cloud tools (Amilia, Monday) is an asset.
Conditions
  • Salary: CA $50,269.55 to CA $68,011.75, depending on experience.
  • Full-time, permanent position based in Sherbrooke with inter-regional travel.
  • Vacation: 4 weeks, including 2 during holidays (flexible).
  • Annual salary adjustment based on CPI in January.
  • Travel reimbursements: CA $0.35/km.
  • Meal budget on the road.
  • RRSP+ (FTQ) with payroll deduction.
