Position

Summary

Reporting to the Production Supervisor and located 100% on site at 1625 Industrial Blvd Magog Quebec, this position will require to perform various duties of electrical and non-electrical sub-assembly, and preparing parts and components of patient lifts, for final assembly. This is a 100% on-site position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for following instructions on a Material Data Sheet, under the direction of the Production Supervisor.
  • Install electronical controls and switches in Patient Lifts.
  • Read blueprints and install parts at the right positions.
  • Install and connect all associated control wiring.
  • Checking the parts, troubleshoot and perform any rewiring if needed.
  • Install mechanical or electronical components.
  • Performs all final testing and troubleshooting.
  • Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners to assemble components for final assembly.
  • Operates hand drill or riveting machines to assist in assembly production.
  • Other duties as assigned from time to time.
Education & Certification
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One to three months of related experience and/or training in electronics or electrical assembly
  • Valid forklift license (required)
Experience
  • Experience in electrical and/or mechanical assembly within a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures (English)
  • Experience performing testing, troubleshooting, and rework of assembled components
Key Skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written, oral, and diagram-based instructions
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and peers
  • Energetic, eager, and reliable with a strong work ethic
  • Physically capable of standing for extended periods, reaching, walking throughout the facility, and lifting components (with assistance when required)

  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands and fingers to handle or feel materials.
  • The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee is required to walk throughout facility.
  • Employee may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds frequently, lift and/or move up to 25 pounds occasionally and lift and/or move up to 50-100 pounds with assistance of another person. Assistance is available for weights above persons lifting capabilities.
