About Us

SBQuantum is a seed-stage startup at the forefront of magnetic sensing innovation. Our vision is to unlock the full potential of magnetic intelligence through our proprietary quantum diamond technology.

By combining diamond-based quantum sensors with advanced AI-driven software, we transform complex magnetic field data into actionable, high-value insights. Our solutions enable accurate magnetic mapping and object detection in environments where traditional sensing technologies—like GPS, radar, imagery, or sonar—cannot perform.

From public safety and defence to space exploration, our multidisciplinary team of engineers, physicists, and data scientists is redefining how the world perceives magnetic signals—turning invisible complexity into clear, useful intelligence.

Why Join Us

At SBQuantum, you'll lead the production of the next generation of quantum sensing products, from individual magnetometers to complete navigation systems for aircraft, drones, military platforms, and future space missions.

Working closely with engineering, you'll transform cutting‑edge prototypes into reliable, scalable manufacturing processes while shaping our production, quality, and automation strategies from an early stage.

Who We’re Looking For

We're looking for an engineer who enjoys solving manufacturing challenges as much as technical ones. You're equally comfortable leading technicians on the production floor, troubleshooting complex systems, improving manufacturing processes, and working with engineering teams to prepare the next product release. You take ownership, think pragmatically, and enjoy transforming engineering designs into repeatable, high‑quality manufacturing processes.

The Role

As the Manufacturing Manager, you will own the manufacturing, quality assurance, and product release activities for SBQuantum's quantum sensing products.

You’ll ensure products are manufactured on schedule, meet the highest quality standards, and are delivered with the correct hardware, firmware, software, calibration data, and documentation.

Working closely with engineering, you'll build manufacturing processes that enable SBQuantum to scale production while minimizing engineering support required for day‑to‑day manufacturing.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead the day‑to‑day manufacturing of SBQuantum's sensing products, including individual magnetometers, magnetic navigation systems, multi‑sensor arrays, space‑qualified hardware, and customer‑specific systems.
  • Lead and mentor the manufacturing team, managing production planning, scheduling, and execution to deliver high‑quality products safely and on time.
  • Manage manufacturing inventory, material planning, and supplier coordination to ensure components are available to support production schedules and on‑time product deliveries.
  • Lead incoming inspection, in‑process quality control, end‑of‑line functional testing, calibration, qualification reports, and product acceptance.
  • Lead manufacturing configuration management, ensuring every product is built and delivered with the correct hardware, firmware, software, calibration data, documentation, and production release package.
  • Manage product traceability, serial number assignment, and manufacturing records.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and resolve production problems through process improvements, tooling modifications, or manufacturing best practices.
  • Lead root cause investigations and determine when manufacturing issues require engineering changes.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to successfully transition new product designs into production.
  • Develop manufacturing procedures, assembly instructions, calibration procedures, and production documentation.
  • Continuously improve manufacturing processes, fixtures, and test infrastructure.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to automate and optimise manufacturing.
  • Support the implementation of future quality systems, supplier quality processes, and continuous improvement initiatives as SBQuantum scales.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, robotics engineering, mechatronics,…
