GENERAL DESCRIPTIONThe Wyoming Girls’ School (WGS) is a therapeutic and educational facility for the treatment of court‑ordered delinquent girls ages 12‑21 years. The mission of the Wyoming Girls School is to provide therapeutic and educational services for the development and treatment of girls in a safe, nurturing, and trauma‑responsive community. This position provides supervision and monitoring of youth during the night shift (10:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m.).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Utilizes cameras and physical visual checks to monitor students while they are sleeping, maintaining these checks on a frequent basis.
- Documents unusual events.
- Monitors physical plant, focusing on safety issues.
- During morning hours, assists in preparing the students for cleaning, breakfast, hygiene, collecting urinalysis, and physical training/educational group activities, and school.
- Provides support and assistance to students.
- Completes building & perimeter checks on a frequent basis.
- Promptly responds to emergency or crisis situations.
- Applies physical and non‑physical intervention skills in crisis situations.
Preference may be given to applicants with a high school diploma, plus one year of work experience with the public or youth.
KNOWLEDGE- Skilled in both written and verbal communication, with strong interpersonal abilities.

- Skills in observation, basic report writing, and verbal/non‑verbal communication.
Education: High School Diploma
Experience: 0–1 year of progressive work experience (typically in Youth Services)
OR 1–2 years of progressive work experience (typically in Youth Services)
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: None
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS- Must remain awake and alert during shift.
- Must complete the mandatory State of Wyoming and Wyoming Girls' School Training.

Non‑Exempt - All positions within the Department of Family Services will require a background information check, including the taking of fingerprints, which will be completed through the Wyoming Department of Criminal Investigation, the Department of Family Services, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, for every successful applicant.
