We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our team!

As a Project Engineer
, you'll play a critical support role in planning, scheduling, budgeting, field cost analysis, and compliance. You'll work closely with Project Managers and field teams, gaining exposure to every stage of a project and setting yourself up for long-term career advancement in the industry.

Job Title: Project Engineer

Pay Rate: $75,000 to $95,000 per year, depending on experience

Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.

What you will be doing
  • Support Project Managers in planning, coordination, and execution of projects
  • Assist in preparing project submittals, including schedules, material lists, and subcontractor details.
  • Prepare and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
  • Maintain accurate project logs and reporting for clients and management
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of information and materials
  • Review drawings and specifications to spot potential conflicts and support resolution in the field
  • Assist in building and monitoring project schedules and milestones
  • Track budgets, invoices, and cost-related documentation
  • Support site teams with safety, quality, and compliance oversight (OSHA, Davis-Bacon, prevailing wage, FAR, etc.)
  • Participate in site meetings and ensure smooth project closeout with as-builts, warranties, and final reports
  • Obtain necessary project permits.
  • Coordinate internal material requirements, quantities, and pricing.
  • Assist the Project Manager in the review and coding of timecards daily for accuracy.
  • Maintain project files, reports, and correspondence.
  • Track project quantities and assist in cost projections.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager and accounting team on project billing.
  • Verify subcontractor payments and ensure proper documentation.
  • Maintain updated as-built drawings and specifications.
  • Coordinate with the Superintendent for material orders.
  • Ensure accurate material tracking and procurement for long-lead-time items.
  • Prepare final cost reports and audit jobs as necessary.
  • Assist in submitting close-out documents and final payments.
Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of commercial construction experience or internships in construction management
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Knowledge of construction methods, drawings, and specifications
  • Proficiency in construction-related software and computer applications. (Procore, MS Project, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Etc.)
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and perform under tight deadlines
  • OSHA 10 certification required: OSHA 30 (preferred)
  • Familiarity with government contract requirements (preferred)
