Thispositionplaysakeyroleinsupportingthesuccessfulexecutionofconstructionprojectsbyassistingwithprojectdocumentation,cost tracking,scheduling,procurement,andcommunicationthroughoutallphasesofconstruction.
The Project Engineerworkscloselywiththe Project Manager ,Superintendent,subcontractors,owners,architects,andinternalteamstohelpensureprojectsarecompletedsafely,efficiently,and onschedule.
- Preparingprojectsubmittals,includingschedules,material lists,materialspecifications,subcontractordocumentation,andrelatedprojectpaperwork
- Coordinatingwithaccountingtopreparesubcontracts,insurance documentation,monthly billings,and project-relatedfinancialinformation
- Securingrequiredpermitsandmaintainingallprojectdocumentationandfiles
- Reviewingdailytimecardsforcodingaccuracyandsubmittingthemforprocessing
- Collecting,organizing,andmaintainingprojectreports,meeting agendas,correspondence,andprojectrecords
- Matchinginvoices,purchase orders,andsubcontractorpaymentswhileensuringdocumentationaccuracy
- Trackingprojectquantities,production,costs,andpreparingweeklycostprojections
- Assistingwithquantitytrackingandcostanalysistosupportfutureestimatingandbiddingefforts
- Managingprocurementofprojectmaterials,equipment,andlonglead-timeitems
- Maintainingaccurateas-builtdrawingsandprojectspecificationsthroughoutconstruction
- Leadingandsupportingprojectschedulingactivities
- Communicatingwithowners,architects,subcontractors,suppliers,andprojectteamstomaintainstrongworkingrelationships
- Coordinatingmaterialorderswith Superintendentsandverifyingprojectmaterialpostings
- Assistingwithprojectcloseoutdocumentation,finalpayquantities,finalcostreporting,andprojectrecordstorage
- Supporting the Project Managerwithadditionalprojectcoordinationandadministrativetasksasneeded
- Degreein Civil Engineering ,Construction Engineering,Construction Management,orarelatedfieldpreferred
- Previous Project Engineerorconstructionprojectcoordinationexperiencepreferred
- Strong organizational,communication,and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Officeandconstructionmanagementsoftware
- Abilitytomanagemultipleprioritieswhilemaintainingattentiontodetail
- Abilitytoworkcollaborativelywithprojectmanagers,field personnel,owners,architects,subcontractors,vendors,and clients
- Self-motivatedwiththeabilitytothriveinafast-pacedconstructionenvironment
