We’re looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join the HR team at EMIT Technologies. In this role, you’ll provide hands‑on support across high-volume production recruiting and day‑to‑day HR and operational administration. You’ll play a critical role in keeping production staffed, hiring moving, and HR processes running smoothly—supporting uninterrupted operations across the organization.
This position works closely with the HR Manager and Talent Development Manager, serving as a key connector between HR and Operations. You’ll help ensure people-related work, staffing activity, and administrative execution are completed accurately, consistently, and on time.
Key Accountabilities- Execute full‑cycle recruiting for production and frontline operational roles, including job postings, applicant screening, interview scheduling, and hiring coordination
- Conduct initial phone screens to assess candidate availability, qualifications, and shift alignment
- Coordinate interviews, onboarding logistics, orientation scheduling, and pre‑employment requirements such as background checks, FIT tests, and other screenings
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date recruiting, onboarding, and employee records
- Provide day‑to‑day administrative support for HR and operational priorities, including documentation, filing, and process organization
- Assist with meeting coordination, preparation of materials, agendas, and follow‑up action items
- Act as a coordination partner for production supervisors and hiring managers to support smooth execution
- Support communication between HR, hiring managers, and operations to reduce administrative burden on frontline leaders
- Track hiring activity, onboarding progress, and staffing‑related metrics
- Assist with reporting on staffing levels, turnover, time‑to‑fill, and hiring progress
- Identify opportunities to improve recruiting, administrative workflows, and HR processes
- Support the documentation, standardization, and continuous improvement of HR and operational procedures
- Experience supporting recruiting, HR administration, or operational coordination—manufacturing or production environments a plus
- Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail and follow‑through
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment
- Comfortable communicating with candidates, frontline leaders, and HR leadership
- Proficiency with HRIS, ATS, or recruiting systems preferred (or willingness to learn)
- Team‑oriented mindset with a service‑focused approach to supporting operations
- Proactive, execution‑driven, and dependable with a strong sense of ownership
