Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to provide support and assist residents in performing daily living activities. We are looking for a compassionate advocate for residents and their families. As a ADON you will be responsible for supporting medical staff in administering care to patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality nursing care in accordance with care plans, physician orders, and facility standards.

  • Assess, monitor, and document patients’ conditions and communicate changes to the healthcare team.

  • Collaborate with physicians, CNAs, and other team members to ensure excellent patient outcomes.

  • Supervise and support CNAs and other nursing staff in daily care activities.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).

  • Participate in quality assurance, infection control, and safety initiatives.

  • Respond to medical emergencies and follow established protocols.

  • Uphold professional standards, patient confidentiality, and regulatory compliance.

  • Comprehensive understanding of CMS, state, and federal regulations governing skilled nursing facilities, including survey preparedness, QAPI programs, and PDPM/RAI requirements.

  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop multidisciplinary teams
    , fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and excellence in resident care.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in budget management, staffing and scheduling oversight, quality assurance, and performance improvement initiatives.

  • Strong knowledge of resident assessment, care planning, and clinical documentation standards to ensure accuracy and compliance with reimbursement systems.

Qualifications:
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with a current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license by the State Board of Nursing

  • CPR Certified

  • Supervisory position in Long Term Care: 1-2 years required

  • Ability to provide compassionate, person-centered care to residents with diverse physical and cognitive needs.

  • Good collaboration and teamwork skills.

  • Fast and adaptive problem-solving abilities.

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to foster relationships with residents, families, staff.

  • A passion for providing compassionate, high-quality care to seniors.
