We are currently looking for the right candidate to help run one of our restaurants. Our stores are located in wonderful communities with great people and fantastic schools. The restaurant is staffed by great people. The General Manager is responsible for running a profitable restaurant and for ensuring the restaurant meets McDonald’s critical customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. These standards are high, so this is a big job!
The General Manager will work with the Supervisor and Director of Operations and/or the Owner/Operator to set the restaurant’s goals and create a plan to achieve the goals.
To meet restaurant goals, the General Manager leads a team of Department Managers that have specific responsibilities in the restaurant. This means helping the Department Managers set their own goals, following up on their progress, and providing coaching and direction to improve their departments. By improving the departments the restaurant improves!
The General Manager is responsible for the hiring and development of all management team members to ensure the restaurant has the right team to lead into the future. The General Manager will work with the management to train and develop all staff.
AdditionalJob Requirements
- Previous General Manager experience running high volume locations.
- Background in quick-service restaurants strongly desired, or experience in hospitality or retail.
- You must be 18 years or older.
- Previous McDonald’s experience preferred or 2+ years supervisory experience in a food service environment with profit & loss accountability and team member development.
- Customer Obsessed Personality, Reliable Team Leader who works well with others. Conscientious and takes pride in yourself and a job well done.
- Lead the experience: manage all aspects within the restaurant, including food production, guest service and experience, and direct crew and manager work.
- Plan for success: proactively lead and manage all people processes including but not limited to recruiting, hiring, onboarding, staffing, performance management, training, coaching, motivating, and planning for and making critical business decisions around inventory, budget, and food ordering/costs.
- Ensure food safety measures are set and achieved to McDonald’s standards of excellence.
- Inspire and empower: maintain high level of standard for guest and employee safety.
- Be results oriented: oversee all operational needs of the restaurant, including maintenance plans to meet and exceed standards of excellence.
- A commitment to excellence and safety in the workplace.
- Strong customer service and support focus.
- The ability to communicate effectively and anticipate customer needs.
- The skill to provide solutions and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
