Medical Office Coordinator - S at GI Alliance

Position PurposeCoordinate medical office activities to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
Responsibilities- Coordinate medical and health care services.
- Assist physicians and management as needed.
- Maintain confidential patient records.
- Provide administrative support to physicians including electronic medical records, scheduling, billing, compliance, management reporting, and credentialing.
- Ensure practice operations in medical records, front office, and scheduling are conducted professionally and efficiently.
- Provide daily oversight and guidance to employees including feedback, training, coaching, and counseling as needed.
- Approve time‑off requests to ensure proper clinic staffing.
- Coordinate and implement office strategies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Some college hours are preferred.
- Experience: Two or more years in medical office or a related setting; experience in a physician’s office or hospital preferred.
- Additional Qualifications: Previous supervisory or lead experience helpful.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and others.
- Knowledge of medical office procedures, billing, and insurance.
- Competence in IT and experience with healthcare applications.
- Maintains professionalism effectively under stressful conditions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient technical (computer) skills.
- Ability to multi‑task and prioritize.
- Self‑motivated with initiative.
- Strong sense of ethics.
- Team player.
- Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and direct the work of others.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with patients, employees, and the public.
