Medical Office Coordinator - S at GI Alliance

Experience in medical office coordination and a commitment to excellence.

Position Purpose

Coordinate medical office activities to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate medical and health care services.
  • Assist physicians and management as needed.
  • Maintain confidential patient records.
  • Provide administrative support to physicians including electronic medical records, scheduling, billing, compliance, management reporting, and credentialing.
  • Ensure practice operations in medical records, front office, and scheduling are conducted professionally and efficiently.
  • Provide daily oversight and guidance to employees including feedback, training, coaching, and counseling as needed.
  • Approve time‑off requests to ensure proper clinic staffing.
  • Coordinate and implement office strategies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Some college hours are preferred.
  • Experience: Two or more years in medical office or a related setting; experience in a physician’s office or hospital preferred.
  • Additional Qualifications: Previous supervisory or lead experience helpful.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and others.
  • Knowledge of medical office procedures, billing, and insurance.
  • Competence in IT and experience with healthcare applications.
  • Maintains professionalism effectively under stressful conditions.
