Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Commercial Spot Welder- 2nd Shift. The core hours are 2:30pm to 11:00pm. The hourly rate for this position is $19.53/hour + $1.20/hour shift differential per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What

You’ll Do
  • Grind and polish metal.
  • Use spot welding equipment, weld appropriate parts together based on specifications.
  • Run samples and check product quality against prints.
  • Adjust spot welder to properly weld material based on thickness and finish.
  • Perform all quality checks, fill out daily activity reports, and enter time recording in SAP.
  • Change and maintain welding tips as necessary.
  • Perform 5S & Continuous Improvement activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Basic (Required) Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Sherman, TX will be considered.

  • Work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a productli>

  • Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays and up to 12 hours in a shift, as needed by the business.
  • Ability to stand for the duration of the shift (eight to twelve hours) and perform repetitious tasks.
