PositionSummary
Registered Nurse (RN) – Clinical Instructor (Education). This role provides safe, competent nursing care, professional leadership, and support to the healthcare team while promoting Patient‑Centered Care and Service Excellence. The RN supports faculty learning initiatives, delivers didactic and clinical education, and fosters a culture of professional development.
ResponsibilitiesThe basic purpose of nursing is to provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Additionally, nursing will provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times. The Standards of Practice set forth by the professional nursing associations will provide guidelines for the competent, safe and professional practice.

Qualifications- RN licensure requirement.
- Three years RN experience with a background in clinical nursing, management and education preferred; two years behavioral health experience preferred.
- Current RN credential in the state of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider course to be completed prior to working in a clinical setting and every 90 days.
- Handle with Care and Verbal De‑Escalation training within 60 days of new hire orientation and annually.
- Clinical competency in the population served, excellent communication skills and team leadership.
- Problem solving, critical thinking and flexible teaching methodology.
- Knowledge of teaching and learning theories, curriculum design, test measurement, evaluation and research.
