JOB SUMMARY
Prepares and cooks food necessary for the nutritional care of hospital patients, staff and others as necessary.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING- Ability to follow and understand basic food handling recipes, directions and oral instructions.
- Checks production sheet for amounts to prepare.
- Always keeps waste/over production to a minimum.
- Maintains proper steam tables temperature and cleanliness.
- Ensures proper techniques for stored food and leftovers.
- Ability to complete basic mathematic calculations.
- Ability to answer questions from and speak to customers in a courteous manner.
- All other duties as assigned or required.
- Ability to multi-task while ensuring safety and sanitation practices are adhered to throughout the shift.
- Maintain regular attendance.
- Ability to adhere to strict food handling and storage directions.
