Eaton’s ES GEIS BLDdivision is currently seeking aMaintenance Tech- 1st Shift. The hourly rate for this position is $31.86per hour.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of equipment and machinery. Wage for this role is Associate 5 with a shift differential.

• Drive improvements in Safety, People, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Inventory (SQDCI).
• Work closely with your team members and team lead to resolve issues and follow-up on preventative and corrective actions.
• Assist employees within the team with technical issues and facilitate continuous improvement activities.
• Assure that the appropriate equipment and tools are adequately maintained and safely operated.
• Install equipment/machinery, perform preventive and predictive maintenance on plant equipment, and perform troubleshooting and repairs.
• Operate a variety of lifts etc.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Basic (Required)

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience,
• High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.

• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Sherman, TX will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced skills in one or more of the following:
  Hydraulic & Pneumatic Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration, PLC troubleshooting and repair.
• Experience in lean manufacturing.
• ABB robotic weld cell trouble shooting and programming experience.
• Associate degree from an accredited institution.
• Experience in metals fabrication.
• Working knowledge of equipment operations, tooling (lasers, powder coat, turret presses, dies, presses etc.), and product.
• Computer literate with Windows and MSOffice as well as industrial software.
• Experience utilizing hydraulic schematics, pneumatic schematics, and electrical schematics.
• Experience with wastewater treatment.
• Experience modifying or programming PLC’s and HMI’s.

Position Success Criteria:

• Perform critical jobs or tasks within the department to cover manning shortages as needed.
• Strong technical background.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and parts breakdown.
• Basic skills in reading, arithmetic and writing in English.
• Dexterity required for operating equipment, machinery, and computers.
• Able to work in various locations including heights.
• Understanding of basic mechanical fundamentals and shop machine tools.
• Familiarity with DC and AC power up to three phase 480-volt AC.
• Capable of welding, pipe fitting, rigging.
• Committed to continuous learning and improvement.
• Ability to speak effectively in interpersonal situations and before groups of employees.
• Maintain and follow all safety requirements.
• Support in maintaining training records.
• Support gathering and reporting maintenance metrics data.
• Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays and up to 12 hours in a shift, as needed by the business.
• Ability to stand for the duration of the shift (eight to twelve hours) and perform repetitious tasks.
