Position: Project Accountant Role with Aecon
Elevate your accounting expertise with Aecon Industrial as a Project Accountant specializing in financial reporting and project cost management. This key position focuses on delivering accurate financial insights to enhance project efficiency.

You will work under the Finance Director and drive full-cycle project accounting efforts, including invoicing and monitoring WIP balances. Collaboration across teams will enable you to forecast potential financial issues and guide project managers.

Your role includes preparing detailed financial reports that comply with accounting standards and aid in the timely month-end closes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage invoicing and full-cycle project accounting

• Generate progressive monthly invoices for stakeholders

• Collaborate to identify financial risks and exposures

• Ensure adherence to Aecon’s revenue recognition policies

• Prepare financial data for audits and subcontract monitoring

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics

• Construction-related industry experience preferred

• Proficient in SAP and Business Objects

• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills

• Effective communication with internal and external teams
