Engineering at MSCP does not exist as a standalone function. It exists to enable flow—to ensure that what is designed can be estimated, built, installed, and maintained without friction.

Our work spans different industrial sectors, including oil & gas, where electrical reliability, constructability, and repeatability are critical. Strong theoretical understanding is valued as it leads to clear, executable, and scalable solutions.

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with three to five years of relevant experience to develop , implement, commercialize and improve the processes used to manufacture sheet-metal electrical enclosure. You will combine practical mechanical design knowledge with hands‑on production experience to turn product designs into safe, efficient and repeatable manufacturing methods.

This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in advancing the company’s manufacturing capabilities. Working with engineering and production leadership, you will lead defined improvement projects and help shape process standardization, tooling, equipment proposals, production layouts and manufacturability reviews. Your work will directly support better quality, productivity and capacity as the business grows.

Own assigned manufacturing process improvements from initial assessment and documentation through trials, implementation and verification for cutting, punching, bending, welding, finishing and mechanical assembly.

Develop production routings, process sequences, setup requirements, standard work and inspection checkpoints; maintain these documents as products and manufacturing methods change.

Conduct manufacturing-readiness reviews with design, production and quality teams before production release, addressing tooling, tolerances, bend and assembly sequences, weld access and inspection requirements.

Apply mechanical design knowledge to improve manufacturability and standardize parts, features and fabrication methods across cabinet sizes and configurations while preserving product requirements.

Design jigs, fixtures, gauges, welding aids and assembly tooling in Solid Works; prepare fabrication drawings and validate tooling through shop trials for accuracy, repeatability, usability and safe operation.

Provide hands‑on production troubleshooting for sheet-metal equipment and processes, including dimensional variation, bend accuracy, weld distortion, fit‑up and cabinet assembly.

Lead root‑cause investigations into defects, scrap and rework; implement corrective actions, verify effectiveness and incorporate lessons into designs, tooling and standard work.

Work with quality and design teams to establish process controls

Develop workstation and equipment layouts, improve material flow and assess capacity and bottlenecks using time studies and production observations; address handling and ergonomic concerns.

Establish baseline cycle times, labour hours, scrap, rework and first‑pass acceptance; prioritize improvement projects with leadership and report verified quality, throughput and cost results.
