Community Disability Practitioner

Make a difference as a Community Disability Practitioner with Robin Hood Association in Sherwood Park, AB. This full-time role focuses on supporting individuals with physical and developmental disabilities.

You'll work weekdays from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM, promoting independence and community involvement for those you serve. Your responsibilities will include implementing Individualized Service Plans and conducting regular assessments while adhering to Alberta Health Services standards and RHA policies. Collaboration with coworkers and maintaining a safe environment are core elements of this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement training and monitor Individualized Service Plans

• Advocate for individuals' rights and promote inclusion

• Collaborate with community representatives for access opportunities

• Report and address hazards in the physical environment

• Communicate professionally with families and staff

Requirements:

• Rehabilitation Diploma or related degree preferred

• Valid Alberta Driver’s License with reliable vehicle

• Effective time management skills in challenging situations

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Basic coaching and mentoring capabilities
