What you will do:
- Provide occupational therapy treatment services to children age 0-21 years as prescribed by a physician and based on the recommended number of units from evaluations and prescriptions.
- Work in a variety of settings, including the developmental daycare and outpatient clinic.
- Schedule children onto caseload by contacting the parent/guardian.
- Document all therapy services by locking and electronically signing weekly progress notes.
- Update and turn in efficiency reports weekly.
- Update schedule on the server.
- Provide administration with updated credentials as needed.
- Ensure that non‑treatment time is reported to and approved by administration per policy, entering all non‑treatment time into deTASO.
- Complete additional paperwork requirements accurately and timely as notified by administration.
- Be available to provide occupational therapy services and related duties during the days and hours stipulated in the employment agreement.
- Ensure continuity of care for children and families.
- Collaborate with administration and other disciplines to ensure quality services.
- Participate in annual performance reviews for professional development and growth.
- Provide feedback to administration to enhance continued improvement of the company.
- Respond positively to feedback concerning job performance.
- Participate in Multidisciplinary conferences as needed.
- Demonstrate continued growth in therapeutic skills through learning, knowledge, and application.
What you have:
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a wide variety of people.
- Ability to work with children birth to age 21 and their families.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and internet software.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a very busy environment.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies, and other company documents.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of families or employees.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance; complete tasks in a timely manner.
Education / Certification:
- Current, unrestricted occupational therapy assistant license approved by the Arkansas state licensing board.
- Current NBCOT certification.
Physical Demands:
Employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, stand, stoop, twist, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and use hands and fingers to handle, lift, reach, and feel. Vision requirements include near and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
