Description:

The clinical team will interview candidates.

If selected, an offer will be extended on behalf of the facility.

There are two nursing units, one with 20 beds and one with 17 beds.

Patient-to-nurse ratio is 4:1.Registered nurses will be required to titrate heparin drips.

Charge nurses are present on each shift and do take an assignment.

There are nurse aides and patient care technicians on this unit.

Registered nurses are involved with troubleshooting CPAP and high-flow oxygen equipment.

Registered nurses are required to read their own telemetry strips.

Weekend requirements include working four weekends in a six-week schedule.

Holiday requirements include one major and one minor holiday.

There is no call or standby requirement.

Floating is required as needed.

Scrub color is navy.

There is one or two shifts of unit-specific orientation provided.

The charting system used is Cerner.

A BSN is not required for this position.

BLS certification is mandatory.

The care setting is acute.

This position allows for professional growth and development within the nursing field.
