Wolviston Management Services are proud to be working in partnership with our amazing client to recruit a Multi-Skilled CNC Miller to join their growing and dynamic manufacturing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC professional with strong 3, 4 and 5 axis milling experience to take the next step in their career within a forward-thinking engineering environment.
The RoleYou will be responsible for setting and operating CNC milling machines to produce high-quality components in line with engineering drawings and production targets. Working within a structured manufacturing environment, you'll play a key role in maintaining quality standards and supporting continuous improvement.
- Setting and operating 3, 4 & 5 axis CNC milling machines
- Working with Heidenhain and Fanuc control systems
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and CNC programmes
- Adjusting offsets and troubleshooting machining issues
- Carrying out quality checks and reporting any defects
- Deburring and finishing precision components
- Using internal systems to track materials and job progress
- Supporting 5S and continuous improvement activities
- Performing routine maintenance and ensuring machines are kept clean and safe
- Working collaboratively with the wider production team to meet deadlines
We're keen to speak with candidates who have:
- A relevant engineering qualification or equivalent hands‑on experience
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a CNC milling environment
- Proven experience with multi-axis CNC machinery (3, 4 & 5 axis)
- Strong knowledge of Heidenhain and Fanuc controls
- The ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
- A good understanding of health & safety practices
Desirable (but not essential):
- Engineering apprenticeship, NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent
- Experience with in a similar manufacturing sector
This role operates on a rotational shift pattern (38 hours per week):
- Early Shift (2 weeks):
- Monday
- Thursday: 6:00am - 2:30pm - Friday: 6:00am - 1:00pm
- Monday
- Late Shift (2 weeks):
- Monday
- Thursday: 2:30pm - 12:30am
- Monday
