The Rehabilitation Institute of Southern Illinois is a 40-bed freestanding inpatient rehabilitation hospital located in the welcoming community of Shiloh, Illinois, just minutes from downtown St. Louis. As a joint venture between Encompass Health and BJC Healthcare, our hospital combines nationally recognized rehabilitation expertise with exceptional local healthcare resources.

We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation physician to join our growing inpatient rehabilitation team. This is an outstanding opportunity to establish a thriving inpatient rehabilitation practice with strong clinical support, excellent patient volumes, and significant earning potential.

• Full-time inpatient attending physiatrist
• Average daily census of 15–20 patients
• High-income potential with established referral sources

• Encompass Health physician liaison and marketing teams actively build and maintain patient census

As the attending physiatrist, you will provide comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation care for medically complex patients recovering from conditions such as:

• Stroke
• Brain injury
• Spinal cord injury
• Orthopedic injuries
• Neurological disorders
• Debility and medically complex conditions

You’ll collaborate closely with experienced rehabilitation nurses, therapists, case managers, and consulting specialists to develop individualized treatment plans that maximize patient outcomes and independence.

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
• Eligible for or currently holding an Illinois medical license
• Commitment to outstanding patient-centered care
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
