UNCOMN is seeking a Business Process Analyst 2 (Associate, Cyber) to lead and mature mission assurance capabilities for the DoD, ensuring mission‑critical systems remain resilient, traceable, and defensible against risk while serving as a trusted advisor to senior government stakeholders. In this role, you’ll also:

  • Lead mission assurance efforts across cyber, systems, and enterprise architectures.
  • Build and maintain complex mission and system models using multiple modeling languages, frameworks, and tools.
  • Deliver end‑to‑end mission traceability across systems, dependencies, and MRT‑C.
  • Conduct cyber dependency analysis, mission risk assessments, and root cause analysis for complex issues.
  • Translate technical findings into clear, risk‑informed recommendations and business/process improvement opportunities.
  • Lead and mentor mission assurance and cyber analysts; manage tasking, training, resources, and quality of deliverables.
  • Oversee architecture modeling, change control, and scope management aligned with DoD frameworks and guidance.
  • Prepare defect reports, track test progress, and produce accurate documentation using Microsoft Office tools.
  • Brief senior government leaders and cross‑functional teams/stakeholders.

This position description outlines the core duties for this role, but it is not all‑inclusive. Responsibilities may shift based on contract requirements, mission needs, or organizational objectives.

Requirements
  • 2+ years of related professional experience, including experience leading or mentoring technical teams.
  • Demonstrated experience performing cyber dependency analysis, mission assurance, or risk assessments for mission‑critical systems.
  • Strong understanding of system‑of‑systems concepts, mission‑to‑system traceability, and cyber terrain analysis.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to executive and non‑technical audiences.
  • Must hold an active Top Secret clearance, granted by the U.S. Government.
Preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or similar.
  • Experience supporting USTRANSCOM, Mobility Air Forces, or other operational DoD missions.
  • Background in mission engineering, enterprise architecture (DoDAF/UAF), or model‑based systems engineering (MBSE).
  • Proficiency with modeling and analysis tools, including Sparx Enterprise Architect or comparable platforms.
  • Experience briefing senior government leadership and supporting decision‑making at the O‑6/GS‑15 level and above.
  • Familiarity with Mission Relevant Terrain–Cyber (MRT‑C) methodologies and digital modernization initiatives.
