Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg Tele RN with at least one year of med-surg or telemetry experience and an active IL RN license.
Responsibilities- Work in a Magnet-designated acute care hospital on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
- Patient ratios of 1:4-5
- Direct patient care responsibilities
- Requires 12-hour day shifts (6:45-19:15), three days per week
- Every other weekend required
- Possible float between Belleville and Shiloh locations and within the facility as needed
- Uses Epic EMR
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Permanent employees must wait one year before returning as a traveler
- Up to 7 days of requested time off (RTO) permitted within a 13-week contract, with none allowed during the first week of orientation
- Travelers can remain for up to 18 months and must take a 3-month break after the assignment period
- Navy scrubs are required
- Testing and modules are required and completed during orientation
- Active IL RN license required for consideration
- Minimum 1 year of direct med-surg-cardiac or telemetry nursing experience
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred
- Must reside outside a 75-mile radius from the facility—local candidates not accepted
- No pending licenses accepted for this position
