About the Role
As a Loan Specialist, you’ll be the first point of contact for Veterans and Active Duty Service Members navigating the VA loan process. You’ll work closely with Loan Officers, educating borrowers on the process, gathering documentation, and guiding them toward home ownership.
This role is also a launchpad into a future Loan Officer career for those who are ambitious, energetic, and motivated. Many of our successful Loan Officers began as Loan Specialists, and we’ll set you up with a strong foundation while providing a guaranteed salary and the chance to learn the business. WhatYou’ll Do
- Interview borrowers, obtain and verify documentation, and educate them on the loan process and product/service options.
- Process borrower credit information through online approval systems and analyze for pre-approval or denial.
- Make initial contact and respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone and email.
- Inform borrowers of future loan documentation requests, including income and asset details.
- Remain knowledgeable on company and industry guidelines and processes.
- Provide exemplary customer service and support throughout the loan journey.
- Actively contribute to building a strong, collaborative team culture.
- Ambitious, energetic, and internally motivated.
- Outgoing, friendly, and customer-focused.
- A strong communicator (verbal and written).

- Comfortable with PCs and basic computer technologies.

Previous mortgage experience.

The base pay range for this position is $13.00 to $20.00 per hour, but keep in mind that this is a commissioned role. Commissions will be based on the volume (dollar amount) of loans closed. We estimate that this position has an annual gross income potential of between $90,000.00 and $, taking into account base pay, commissions, deductions, and bonuses. Of course, pay will vary and may be above or below the potential range based on various factors, such as experience and performance.
