Overview

Norm’s Bargain Barn is currently hiring for the position of Kitchen & Bath Designer in Shiloh, Illinois. Ideal candidate would have some experience in one of the following areas: kitchen/bath cabinetry, interior design or home center sales. Candidate will be assisting customers and selling cabinetry, countertops and related products. Excellent computer, customer service and communication skills required. Experience with 20/20 software a definite plus.

Required

Skills

Background in design and/or cabinetry sales preferred.

Must possess a high degree of self-motivation, and well developed planning, organization and time management skills.

Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills, and the ability to present both product and service capabilities of the company in response to the unique needs of each customer.

Must be available to work days, one evening until 7:00 p.m., Saturdays, (closed Sunday), and one set day off during the week.

$19.00/hour plus Sales Commission

Education

• Certificate or degree in design or sales a plus.

Required Computer Knowledge/Experience

• Microsoft Office, Outlook, (Exp. With 20/20 a plus)

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand their kitchen and bath needs, providing expert advice and product demonstrations.
• Utilize negotiation skills to close sales and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Manage inventory and stock levels while maintaining an organized showroom.
• Create and present design layouts using software tools like 20/20.
• Provide exceptional customer service through effective communication and follow-up.
