Role Description  The Counselor will provide day-to-day emotional, social, and academic guidance to students, helping them navigate personal challenges and school-related stressors. This full-time, on-site role in Bilaspur involves conducting individual and group counseling sessions, supporting students with goal setting and problem-solving, and maintaining appropriate documentation of interactions and progress. The Counselor will collaborate with teachers and school leadership to identify student needs, design support strategies, and contribute to awareness programs on mental health and well-being.

Additional responsibilities include engaging with parents or guardians when necessary, ensuring confidentiality and ethical practice, and participating in school events and initiatives aimed at fostering a safe and inclusive environment.
Qualifications
Relevant academic background such as a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a closely related field.
Demonstrated ability to provide individual and group counseling to children and adolescents in an educational setting.
Strong interpersonal, listening, and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with students, families, and staff.
Knowledge of child and adolescent development, basic mental health principles, and crisis intervention strategies.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion, maintain professional boundaries, and adhere to ethical and school policies.
Comfort working as part of a multidisciplinary team, including teachers and administrators, to design and implement student support plans.
Organizational skills to manage caseloads, maintain records, and prioritize tasks in a busy school environment.
Previous experience as a school counselor or in a similar student support role is preferred.
