Role Overview

The Head of Sales will be responsible for driving revenue growth, shaping the sales strategy, and leading a high‑performing team focused on product and distribution. This is a pivotal leadership role requiring a strategic thinker with proven experience in health insurance, employee benefits, or financial services sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Strategy & Leadership
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with business objectives.
    • Lead, mentor, and inspire the sales team responsible for product and distribution.
    • Establish clear KPIs and monitor performance to ensure consistent achievement of targets.
  • Business Development
    • Identify and secure new business opportunities across corporate and SME markets.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, intermediaries, and key partners.
    • Drive growth through innovative product positioning and market penetration strategies.
  • Commercial Management
    • Forecast sales performance and manage budgets effectively.
    • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to optimise go‑to‑market plans.
    • Negotiate high‑value contracts and partnerships to maximise profitability.
  • Market Insight & Innovation
    • Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes.
    • Contribute to product development and pricing strategies based on market feedback.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Proven track record in senior sales leadership within health insurance, employee benefits, or financial services.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing multi‑million‑pound revenue streams.
  • Exceptional leadership and team development skills, particularly in product and distribution.
  • Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Strategic thinker with hands‑on execution capability.
Qualifications
  • Degree‑level education or equivalent experience.
  • Professional qualifications in sales or leadership (desirable).
