Location: ShipleySalary: £34,000 per annum

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering and manufacturing business seeking a Production Coordinator to join its operations team.
This is a fast-paced, hands-on role, ideal for someone with a background in production planning, production control or manufacturing coordination who enjoys problem-solving and keeping production moving. You'll work closely with Sales, Purchasing, Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing to ensure customer orders are delivered on time and production issues are resolved quickly.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate production work orders and maintain production schedules.
- Attend daily production, quality and cross-functional planning meetings.
- Check material availability against customer orders and production requirements.
- Monitor supply issues and work with Purchasing to source alternative solutions where required.
- Update ERP systems with production status, material availability and Bill of Materials (BOM) changes.
- Manage engineering and technical changes, ensuring updates are driven through the system.
- Liaise with Sales regarding changing customer priorities, urgent orders and cancellations.
- Resolve day-to-day production issues, including missing parts, stock shortages and schedule changes.
- Monitor machinery contracts and ensure materials are available for planned builds.
- Produce planning reports and maintain accurate production data.
- Support continuous improvement and help keep production running efficiently.
- Previous experience in Production Planning, Production Control, Production Coordination, Materials Planning or Manufacturing Scheduling.
- Experience working within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Able to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
- Confident working with multiple departments to keep production on track.
