PLS Civil Engineering Ltd is a well-established and expanding civil engineering contractor based in Shirebrook, Nottinghamshire. We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record working within the civil engineering sector and strong working knowledge of NEC forms of contract.

• Manage all commercial aspects of projects from inception to completion
• Prepare and manage project budgets, valuations, and forecasts
• Administer and manage NEC contracts, ensuring compliance and protection of the company's commercial interests
• Measure and value work done on site, including variations and compensation events
• Prepare and agree subcontractor accounts and final accounts
• Liaise with clients, site teams, and senior management to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and profitably
• Produce accurate financial reports and cost/value reconciliations

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the civil engineering sector
• Strong understanding and practical experience of NEC forms of contract
• Excellent commercial and contractual awareness
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
• Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline

• Starting salary: £55,000 per annum
