About the client

Join a long‑established UK engineering manufacturer leading the way in the rail freight sector. • Assist with internal audits and drive continuous improvement initiatives

  • Solid understanding of MIG welding processes
  • Knowledge of welding practices on materials up to 40mm thick on mild steel
  • PCN Level 2 or CSWIP 3.1 welding inspection knowledge or qualification (Visual, Dye Pen ideally)
  • Familiarity with inspection methods and quality assurance tools
  • Competent in using measurement equipment such as verniers, micrometers, and gauges
  • Practical, hands‑on approach with a willingness to get involved on the shop floor
