We currently have a specific family requesting a TEAS test prep tutor for their student and are looking to fill this placement quickly. This is a targeted opening tied to an active student match, not a general/ongoing posting.

What You'll Do:

• Provide one-on-one TEAS tutoring, in-person or virtually depending on family preference
• Work directly with the assigned student on an agreed schedule
• Log sessions and communicate progress through Grade Potential'stutor tools

This student is an adult aiming to enroll in the Suffolk County LPN Program. She is preparing for the TEAS exam and needs help with English, Math, Chemistry, and Anatomy.

She scored 61 on her first attempt at the TEAS exam. She previously took a college prep course that covered three classes, but still needs additional preparation across the exam.

She wants to improve her TEAS score, strengthen her understanding of the material, and develop effective independent study and test-taking strategies. She would benefit from personalized instruction that helps her work through difficult questions without becoming overwhelmed or frustrated.

She is looking for 1 hour sessions 2 times a week during her available times. She is available Monday 9am-12pm, Tuesday & Wednesday & Thursday 5pm-8pm, and Friday & Saturday 12pm-3pm. She wants to meet at the Mastics-Moriches-Shirley Community Library.

Job Type: Part Time

Location: Shirley, NY (serving nearby Long Island area)

Compensation: $30-$35/hr

• Due to insurance requirements, tutors must be at least 18years old.
• Must be authorized to work physically within the United States.
• To meet our safety and diligence standards, a background check is conducted before meeting with any students.
• Fluency in test preparation strategies
• Prior tutoring, teaching, or language-instruction experience preferred
• Comfortable working with adult students
• Available within 10 miles of Shirley, or virtually if applicable
• Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
